I am a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with more than 12 years of Middle East (UAE) and 4 years of Sri Lanka experience in various roles. I began my Middle East career as a Project Quantity Surveyor with a contracting organization in Dubai, where I worked with post-contract commercial management and contract administration teams on the construction of villas and infrastructure projects.
Presently stationed in Abu Dhabi since December 2015, initially appointed as Senior Quantity Surveyor and Cost Control as part of the commercial and tendering team, subsequently promoted to Commercial & Tendering department head in January 2020, involved in all pre and post contract and commercial activities from inception to completion, including preliminary estimation, cost planning, cost control, value engineering, etc. In addition to that, I am a key decision-maker in project procurement, tendering, tender evaluation, and awarding processes as part of the Tender Committee for various commercial developments, industrial projects and high rise buildings.
Simultaneously, I had an opportunity to enhance my educational qualifications, wherein I achieved an MSc in Quantity Surveying in 2016 and, at the same time, became a Member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MAIQS). Subsequently, during 2018, I became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and the Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka (AIQSSL).
